3rd Indie Reading Project: The summary of Cirque Du Freak Lord of the Shadows 341 words

I have finished my 3rd independent reading book which is Cirque Du Freak Lord of Shadows by Darren Shan. It is the eleventh book of the Cirque Du Freak series. In the book Darren Shan goes back to visits his town and to visit his sister Annie. He peaks through the window and sees her sister living happily with her son and doesn't want to disturb her, because Darren thinks Annie is not ready to know the truth about what has really happen to him (Darren turning into a vampire). Then one night before the Cirque show a boy named Darius asked for tickets to the show. Darren and Harkat give him the tickets. Then after Darren meets an old friend  named Tommy  and they have a nice little chat after not seeing each other for long time. Tommy invites Darren to a soccer game. Darren goes to Tommy's soccer game to root for him. After the game the Vampaneze clan attack Tommy and kills him and runs away. Darren Shan tries chasing them but the Vampaneze led him into a trap and finds out the boy that wanted the tickets was Steve Leonard's son, Darius. Darren tries to fight them but fails and gets hurt. The Vampaneze couldn't kill him because they hear the police showing up. Darren gets rescues by Debbie and Alice and is in a safe house. Vancha visits and plan an attack against the Vampaneze. They all visit the Cirque Du Freak and get attacked by the Vampaneze. They fight them off but R.V and Morgan James take Evra's son, Shancus hostage and escape. They all meet each other in a movie theater. They plan to make a trade between Shancus, who Steve had captured earlier and Darius; however, before the trading proceeds, Steve breaks Shancus's neck, killing him and challenging Darren to do the same with Darius. Darren thinks it over and accepts the challenge, but Steve tells Darren that Darius is Annie's son. Darren doesn't know what to do so he lets Darius go.
